The idea
behind the Baby Brunch is to give breastfeeding mothers the chance to meet up socially and form ties with other like-minded
moms. There is no formal topic of discussion: it is really just a casual social time.
Also, if
you have felt uncomfortable breastfeeding in public, the Baby Brunch will be the ideal time for you to feel more at ease
in meeting your babies' needs in public. You will be surrounded by other breastfeeding mothers, in a family-friendly establishment,
so you may find it reassuring to nurse in this atmosphere. Many moms have also learnt helpful baby-slinging
techniques. There will always be at least one LLL Leader present in case you come with any specific question.
Please feel free to come
along with a friend - you don't need to be a LLL member in order to join us at the Baby Brunch. As we will be meeting at a
public restaurant, we would like to make sure we have enough tables set aside for our group, so if you plan to come, please
just email us at lalechesingapore-owner@yahoogroups.com and let us know so we
can make reservations.
Please do
not be surprised when asked by restaurant staff to settle your bill when they serve your order - this helps minimise confusion
and allows you to leave quickly if you need to (which we understand can happen ANYtime with babies!)
