La Leche League of Singapore
is no longer active as of 15 April 2008.

What happened? Will LLL of SG return?

From Kelly Lim, the only active Leader in
the LLLSG Group:

My 2.5yo daughter, Jillian, was diagnosed with a rare type of kidney cancer, Malignant Rhabdoid Tumor last year and passed away on 20 Nov 08. LLL came through for me again, in this part of my mothering journey.

As my family grieves our loss, it is too difficult for me to resume Group meetings or take help calls at this point in time. Perhaps that will change in the future. I will update on this website.

I will, however, maintain an active leader status and help in wider LLL work. Please contact me (jonkel@starhub.net.sg) if you are keen to become a Leader and I will be happy to discuss more with you.

An alternative source for breastfeeding telephone help
in Singapore is BMSG (6339 3558)

Thank you for understanding

LLL of Singapore Fundraisers
LLL is a non-profit organization entirely supported by donations, memberships and sale of materials.

Membership
We have two types of annual memberships available for interested mothers. Our local membership is S$44 and includes a La Leche League Asia's newsletter that comes out three times per year, 'Close to the Heart'. Our international membership is S$70 and includes a La Leche League International's 'New Beginnings' bimonthly magazine in addition to 'Close to the Heart'. All members are entitled to free use of the Library and a 10% discount on new books and baby slings purchased through our Group.

Your contribution will be used to purchase books and videos for our lending library as well as informational pamphlets to distribute at meetings and to mothers with special needs. Part of your contribution will also go to LLLI, so you will literally be helping mothers and babies all over the world.
